Chapter 14
The New Year’s Day was over a month away, and I didn’t take more work.
My best friend returned from abroad to celebrate the New Year with me.
That day, my best friend and I were sitting on the couch, eating potato chips, and watching a drama. However, two unexpected guests arrived.
Bella and Amber came.
Bella looked much older than before, and Amber looked worried.
I took them to the café downstairs.
Bella pleaded, “Stella, it was my fault before. You two used to be married. Please go and persuade
Zachary.”
Before she finished speaking, Bella was in tears.
Amber added, “Since divorcing you, my brother has been working tirelessly every day as if he has become a different person. He doesn’t listen to anyone’s advice.”
I refused them.
One had to find one’s own way out.
After the New Year, Michael sent me a message, “Stella, both dramas are popular. Your skills have received unanimous praise, and many people are inquiring about you.
“You should consider my crew first.”
I had been very busy for the next six months. I joined Michael’s crew and found time to attend interviews, magazine shoots, and so on.
Today, the filming of the crew had ended, and everyone was happy, yet reluctant to part.
I stood on the steps, felt the summer breeze, and couldn’t help but smile as I watched the lively people below.
After this gathering, we went our separate ways, not knowing when we would meet again. Maybe we would never see each other again.
The sky was filled with stars. My name was Stella.
They were all passers–by.
