Chapter 2
In the end, I took a taxi back by myself.
Regardless of my attitude, Salvador was ultimately guilty.
So, not long after, he also came back.
I happened to see me tidying up my things.
All the clothes in the wardrobe were taken out, and most of them were thrown into a bag.
“Declutter“.
I perfunctorily dealt with him, hoping that he would quickly go take a shower.
The sickly–sweet scent of perfume on Salvador made me feel nauseous.
He remained silent for a moment and didn’t notice anything wrong.
Talking to oneself.
“It’s fine if we lose it. We can buy it again when we get married. Or we can even move to another house. What do you think?”
Salvador seemed to be truly envisioning our future.
He was sneaking a peek at my reaction, I knew it, but pretended not to know.
If it were a normal day, I would be so happy that I would cry.
But now, I don’t want to shed a single tear for him anymore.
My indifference made Salvador feel bored.
He knew that I was angry, but he wouldn’t try to appease me.
Tonight was already a rare concession.
Salvador went to take a shower, but his phone kept ringing incessantly.
I was so annoyed that I took a quick glance at it.
Elisa sent him several pictures of the two of them in wedding attire.
All kinds of styles are available.
My heart ached dully for a moment.

Originally, Salvador’s impatience was only towards me.
I was excitedly going to Salvador to try on wedding dresses.
He always stood me up in the end.
“It’s all the same, just buy whatever.”
I still remember the way Salvador frowned.
His impatience towards me was not fake.
The tenderness captured in dozens of photos was not fake.
“What were you doing!”
Suddenly, a wave of heat rushed in.
Salvador forcefully snatched the phone.
I had great strength, and I was pushed onto the bed.
“Don’t you understand that this is privacy?” Salvador’s face turned red from the heat.
The tone, however, was chilling enough to make one shiver.
I silently looked at the scratches on my palm.
It had already started bleeding.
Even if Salvador didn’t come just now, I wouldn’t have flipped through it again.
I had already read those thousands of ambiguous text messages that went back and forth.
From dawn till daybreak.
Eyes were swollen and still had to pretend to have just woken up.
But who could have imagined?
For seven years of our relationship, our chat box was always filled with my own arguments.
Occasionally, Salvador would respond with an emoji when he felt like it.
I was like a clown.
“Sorry, I couldn’t read it.” I lowered my gaze and apologized.
Salvador was taken aback.

Salvador seemed to have not anticipated my reaction.
“That photo, Elisa said the bride was tired from trying on wedding dresses, so she just helped out, don’t misunderstand.”
And you know, when her brother passed away, I took it upon myself to go with her to try on wedding
dresses.
I silently listened to his lame excuse.
Elisa’s brother, Ryker Garrison, was a friend of Salvador.
At that time, Salvador faced difficulties during the crucial period of starting a business.
Ryker gave him a USB drive, and there was a car accident.
He died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
Before dying, he entrusted Salvador to take care of his sister Elisa.
Salvador was very trustworthy and took very good care of Elisa.
At first, there was a distance between us, but later, I also got involved in the trivial matters of life.
I sniffed my nose and thought about how I would be leaving in a few days.
There is no need to hide what you want to say.
“Don’t worry about me misunderstanding, actually it would be fine if you married Elisa…”
I hadn’t finished speaking when Salvador’s palm, cold and fierce, landed on the side of my face with a crisp sound.
“What are you going crazy about? Elisa only sees me as a brother. Do you think she is as casual as you?”
The side of the face was hurting with a sensation of burning.
Yeah, Elisa wasn’t as casual as me.
Salvador approached people like a prostitute, offering his hand for a shake.
My eyes welled up as I saw Salvador’s slightly panicked expression.
He lowered his voice.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean that…”
I suddenly wanted to gather up the courage to tell him everything.

“Salvador, I am going to get married…”
