Chapter 7
I was too lazy to say more, so I turned around and walked away.
Salvador grabbed my wrist.
I had a lot of strength, and it hurt so much that I frowned.
“Let go!”
“How can you possibly go back with me?” Salvador’s eyes welled up with tears.
I wanted to laugh, but even curling my lips felt difficult.
Elisa’s soft voice came through.
“I’m sorry, sister. It was my fault that you two argued. Please forgive Salvador, he truly loves you,”
she choked.
Laughter could be faintly heard from inside the house, outside the courtyard.
It is completely different from the current silence.
“Salvador, we couldn’t go back.”
“What are you kidding about? We have known each other for nine years, what did you make of these nine years?”
“Weren’t you just after money? Well, now I have money too, and I can be even richer than Noah!”
I found it ironic.
“What did you make of these nine years when you made me have an abortion on my own and then went on a trip with Elisa?”
Salvador choked.
Elisa continued to speak, and I slapped her in return.
“You are so despicable as a person, there is no one else like you.”
Suddenly, her face turned pale as paper, and tears streamed down her cheeks.
Salvador unconsciously let go of my hand.
“No, she was just my sister…” his voice gradually faded away.
I didn’t want to see him anymore.

Not far away, Noah called me.
I raised a smile and walked towards him.
Noah said, “Do you know him?”
“Do you also know?”
“No, I only know that he was the child Tobias Everett recognized a few days ago.”
The wedding is in a few days, and there are still some things I want to buy.
Noah was busy, but he insisted on accompanying me.
I was not familiar with him, so I couldn’t command him anything, I had to agree.
When I passed by a custom jewelry store, the shop assistant warmly pulled me inside.
She was too enthusiastic, making it hard for me to refuse.
The decoration in the shop was very warm and romantic.
I looked at the rings in those glass display cases.
Until I stayed for one of them.
I prevented Noah from making the purchase.
Lost interest suddenly, turned around, and walked away.
A familiar sound came from behind.
“Donna!”
Many shop assistants were cheering.
I turned around and coldly watched Salvador take the ring he had just grabbed.
He seemed a bit awkward and inexperienced.
“Do you
remember this ring?”
How could I possibly forget?
I knew him for three years, and during our first year together, he designed a ring by himself.
Adorned with sapphires, the inner circle was engraved with letters.
It’s not complicated, but enough to make my heartbeat faster.

1 felt only the noise, and I forcefully their off. The ring was accidentally knocked off by me and fell right into the truth hin
The surrounding sounds fell silent in an instant.
“Mr. Everett, behave yourself.”
