Chapter 4
Arabella thought she was hallucinating.
Daisy even directly asked, “Mom, am I dreaming?”
Silly, he tapped his forehead.
The wound was bleeding, but she was foolishly laughing, “It wasn’t a dream.”
Arabella wiped away the bloodstain on Daisy’s forehead with tears in her eyes, feeling heartbroken.
It was just an ordinary thing, but the mother and daughter were crying and laughing again.
Zackary felt a little off.
After returning, Daisy devoted herself wholeheartedly to preparing for the birthday party. She made many invitations by herself and personally invited each of her classmates.
Arabella was also willing to help and would find a way to handle any difficult task.
The night before the birthday party.
Daisy buried her head in drawing and cheerfully looked up to ask Arabella, “What gift would Dad prepare for me?”
He turned his head again and asked himself and answered, “I like
any gift.”
After thinking for a while, it changed to, “As long as dad comes, it’s a gift!”
The final arrangement was completed, and it happened to be the day of the call.
Daisy nervously dialed the number she knew by heart.
“Beep, beep, beep.”
No one answered.
The inertia of being abandoned and rejected caused her smile to instantly fade.
Zackary could only grasp at the last straw. “Arabella, during my injury, could you come and visit me more often?”
The phone had been dialed again.
It was the mechanical beep again.
Just as she was about to put it down, the phone rang.

“Zackary, I…”
“Dad, someone is looking for you.”
The same tender voice of a young girl came through.
Startled, Arabella and Daisy both froze.
Did you make a mistake?
It was impossible.
Zackary’s phone, they had already memorized it by heart.
“Who?”
A more familiar female voice.
Arabella had only heard it recently.
She hung up in a panic, feeling extremely anxious.
Daisy looked bewildered.
Arabella quickly hung up the phone, forcing a smile to conceal her emotions, and said, “I forgot to tell you, he changed his number.”
“Mom hasn’t memorized the new number yet, she will tell you when she remembers it tomorrow.”
I don’t know if I fooled her or not. Daisy didn’t ask again, she just felt gloomy and lost the excitement of planning the birthday party.
Before going to sleep, Daisy climbed onto Arabella’s bed, holding the slightly worn doll.
“Mom, will Dad come tomorrow?”
She did not notice.
Arabella’s heart ached, and she pulled her into her arms with one hand.
“Of course you will come, if you sleep well tonight, you will have a wonderful birthday tomorrow.”
The elusive promises, like Zackary, could never be grasped or approached.
The next day, it was the birthday party. All the children gathered, and the parents also gathered together.
The person who should have appeared the most, however, did not show up for a long time.

Chapter 4
A child mocked, “Are you kidding? You don’t have a dad at all!”
Daisy became anxious and shouted, “I have it! You don’t!”
Arabella recognized the troublemaking child, who had fought with Daisy last time.
However, for some reason, her parents did not intervene.
When the wedding reached the step of exchanging rings, suddenly a man’s angry roar came from outside the door, “Stop! I disagree!”
Arabella glanced instinctively and her pupils contracted abruptly.
Feeling suffocated in the chest, unable to breathe.
Zackary and Gina walked in, holding hands, from a distance.
The little child ran into his arms.
Zackary used to never let his brows relax for a moment, but today he is beaming with a smile.
There was a moment of awkwardness when the gaze fell on Daisy.
The little child had already pulled him over eagerly to show off, saying, “Look! I have a dad!”
When counting the number of people, it was discovered that someone was missing. “Isn’t it a total of eleven people? Who is missing?”
“Coincidentally, it’s Rosa’s birthday tomorrow, so today is the perfect day to come and learn from
her.”
Rosa emphasized loudly, “My father would have arranged it more grandly than you!”
The provocation sound was sharp and piercing.
Zackary did not offer any resistance.
Well, children state facts, what can be stopped?
Arabella’s heart had long been reduced to ashes.
The embers in the ashes would occasionally flare up and burn again.
Her unrequited love for Zackary was a dead end, a night without dawn.
Only until now has she been brutally awakened by reality.
“Speaking of which, where was her father?”

Gina opens whichever pot she doesn’t want to open.
It was like maliciously poking Arabella’s scar.
A crisp voice answered first, “My father died.”
