“My team and I thought that this deep V slit along the chest would look better for your beautiful height instead of the slit on the things. I mean, we could go with the two but I got your message about wearing a more appropriate clothes for the
event.”
I watched Megan, the beautiful Gothic goddess talk from the very far end of my conference table, her black polished. fingers pointing towards me the entire time for emphasis. After two days of meeting with her, I realized flailing of her fingers when speaking was a habit of hers.
But what 1 didn’t quite understand was why she wasn’t standing beside me, closer to me, instead of standing so far away. as if she wanted to be closer to the exit door just in case she needed to leave urgently
“I didn’t know I was some model now, Meg” I told her sarcastically, obviously bored out of my mind.
My eyes are slowly closing and I felt a strange tiredness slowly trying to overtake me. It was past 2 p.m already. I should go get Ace from school and take him out or something. But I had to make an exception to meet Megan after so many rescheduling.
Next week Saturday was the first day of the ‘celebrity choice outfit‘ that Blogwood was hosting, in collaboration with the popular Korean fashion empire, Quorange.
So yes, it’s safe to say that I am going to be a model for one full week
Megan is standing there, watching me with confusion. I enjoyed making her so uncomfortable. She is just so adorable,
I tried so
much to keep a low profile and not have my face all over the Internet but that was becoming more and more impossible as the days went,
“Megan, your job is actually very very simple,” I said as I leaned back on my seat, watching every of her team’s faces seated around the table “why do you choose to be so hard on yourself? I will wear anything to the dress you choose for me as long as it’s how I want it to be. I’m still going to be the one wearing and showcasing your celebrity designs later, aren’t I?”
I saw relief wash over Megan’s face, her hands which had been stopped mid air as I interrupted her now gently settling
in too of the table.
“I will have the car come pick you up at exactly 4 tomorrow ma’am Megan said as she closed all the notebooks in f
of her on the table.
Nodding gently, I replied “and I will be waiting. Thank you
I watched an excited Megan walk out of the room mouting bye‘ to me with a very childish wave of her hand to me as she exited the conference room, her team members following her out,
I let out a soft sigh as soon as the disappeared from the room.
Jessica gives me a small smile before speaking, “you look exhausted”
I nodded and stood up, I need to be somewhere important And I couldn’t afford to miss it. I walked out and hurried into my office room, Jessica right on my foot.
“I don’t need any calls coming in today. Jessica,” I said as I threw all my belongings into my brown Gucci bag on my table “I have an important meeting
“Yes maam.
ago.
two days 1 was wondering if you Um…. I wanted to ask you… You asked me to prepare a flight for you still intend to use it? The aerobatics team has been messaging me concerning the plane standing by for departure.”

Chapter II
I rose up gently, having finished picking every thing into my bag
I knew I was angry about Cain’s sudden appearance many days agr, which prompted me to demand for an immediate exit from the city.
But suddenly, I was having second thoughts. I didn’t know why but I suddenly didn’t wanna leave anymore.
Looking back up at Jessica who was patiently waiting through the awkward silence for my response, I replied, “no. I won’t be needing it anymore. Please have it cancelled”
That said, I walked out of the room, my mind foggy as I walked
Suddenly, I was seeing Cain’s face all over my head. When I entered the elevator, I felt his presence.
He wasn’t anywhere near this building but I didn’t know why his presence was so strong around me.
I could barely sleep last night. Because I just laid there on my bed with his thoughts keeping me up. I could barely gr him out of my mind. I thought about his touch and analyzed everything about it.
I thought about how I felt after seeing him again. I still have that magnetic pull towards him. I can deny it all I want, but I knew deep down that I’m still attracted to him. That I still want him. Even more than I was changed to want him five years
He was still my mate and there’s no denying that compulsion between us.
I drove out of the company and headed towards the end of the city. Once I was on the outskirts of the city, where the woods began, I slowed down and changed course.
I took a narrow rough road that trailed along a hilly road built in between two high rocks.
Cars hardly come through this road as it lead to a dead end. But for me, it lead to someone special to me.
After driving for hours, I pulled up into an extremely long driveway that lead to the front of an old castle. An old gigantie school.
The old castle is surrounded by woods, isolated in the center of nowhere.
Before my car came to a stop right in front of the main entrance door, I noticed Mrs Lavender already standing by the door, her black cat, Rosie standing right next to her legs.
They both seemed to be expecting me.
Mrs Lavender was an elderly woman, looking not any younger than seventy, some of her hair graying. Mrs Lavender has a small medicated eyeglass sitting carefully on top of her nose bridge.
As always, she is dressed in a black slim skirt that stopped just below her knees, her white button down tucked in
Mrs Lavender was the headmistress of the school and she is mostly responsible for everything that happens around the school.
I stepped out of the car and walked towards her.
“Is everything alright?” I ask her gently.
I sensed uncase in her, like something was wrong.
She hesitates before turning around and walking in, her way of inviting me inside the building. I follow her and we passed the long narrow hallway, before bursting into the large room where the children were seated

Chapter 11
I stopped and watched all the faces of the children in the room and instantly felt a strange rush of emotions overtake me.
My heart started to hammer inside my ribcage. I didn’t know why but it felt different.
The room is spacious, and a lot didn’t seem to have changed since I was last here, not that it was long ago.
The room is filled with old decors, old shelves that are filled with books.
The children, all between the ages of five to twelve are all busy with playing and reading books to notice my presence.
“Mommy? I heard a sharp voice from the top of a stairs leading down, and I looked up quickly to find the source of the voice. And I instantly smiled, tears brimming at the corners of my eyes as my eyes fell on them.
