I went insane…Just the sight of him holding Rose’s hands got me really pissed. I kept staring at their hands and then lonely stared at Rose who wasn’t able to let go. Her reaction only could tell that she was being forced to touch him against her will. couldn’t bear to see her in that state, I quickly separated their hands and held the human–wolf on his neck trying to choke him, Everyone gasped.
“What the hell… What do you intend to do with my mate!!” I said grinding my teeth in anger. But he smiled.
“She’s no longer your mate. She’s mine now,” He said.
The anger surging inside me just got worse because of his words. My head was about to explode, Hearing this from a human–wolf really pissed me off. I tightened my grip to choke him to death right there.
Just then, Rose came and tried to separate us.
“No!…please stop!” She said while separating us and pulling my hands from his neck.
My heart dropped. Did Rose just try to defend the human–wolf just now? No, she wouldn’t side with the enemy. I know she means well, I thought.
I looked at Rose who was in tears and wanted to go to her but to my surprise, I saw her talking to the human–wolf
“Are you alright? Did it hurt?“She asked the human wolf while touching his neck to see if there were bruises on him.
My heart melted, I thought I was in a really bad dream. Rose was concerned for the enemy, She touched him and came close to him. But why? Why would she choose to hurt me like this?
“Rose….what’s the meaning of this?” I asked still confused.
“Why would you choke him like that….Do you want to kill him?” She said furiously. Her reaction only was unexpected, She’s siding with the enemy, no doubt about that.
I pointed at him and replied.
“He is the enemy, Rose? He is a human wolf,” I said as everybody gasped.
I could hear Allison’s voice from the distance.
“Wait… The person who saved us was a human wolf? Our long lost enemy?” She said surprised.
“But how? If he’s our enemy why would he decide to save us,” Ray asked.
But she had a point. Why would he decide to save them when he knows fully well that they were from the Blood Moon pack?
I stood there thinking of the possibilities while Rose was on the ground attending to the human–wolf.
Suddenly she stood up and walked up to me with a straight face.
“I was about to tell you that I’m leaving, And the person I’m leaving with it’s the human wolf,” She said
“What?” I said in shock.
“You heard me. I can’t stand staying close to you anymore. All you care about is Miraelle and no one else so…I have to leave,”
She said.

Chapter 297
Anyone could tell that she was inaking excuses so we wouldn’t find out the truth behind her decision. I don’t know if it was just me but Rose was hiding something.
“Tell me the truth, Rose…Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this to me?” I said almost in tears.
I was about to cry my heart out because I was so heartbroken. Everything was just happening in a flash, I never knew this day would come.
Just then, The human–wolf stood up and walked towards me.
“Why are you pestering her? She said she doesn’t want to be with you anymore so let her be,” He said.
I got so angry that I held his collar shirt trying to pick up a fight with him. But then I remembered Rose and maintained myself.
“What else are you trying to do with us this time around? Was the incident your pack did many years ago not enough? Why do you all keep doing things and pushing things too far? Not only did you ruin my family, now you want to ruin my mate?” I said.
Rose looked at me confused.
“What?,” She exclaimed.
“I heard about the incident that happened but believe me, you are mistaken,” He said.
Was he trying to cover up what they did to my parents and me many years ago? He didn’t want to admit the truth.
“How dare you lie to us. That incident killed my mother and my father’s bond with me. I swear if he denies it one more time I won’t hesitate to kill you right here,” I said while coming close to him.
“Like I said before…you are mistaken,” He said while coming close to me.
As if we were already fighting within ourselves, giving each other a cold glare.
Rose came in between us and separated us from doing any other thing.
“Alpha kanen please stop this. Take your guards and leave this place,” She said.
I had never seen her in that reaction before, She was furious at the same time she was nervous. I couldn’t really tell what was wrong with her.
I stretched out my hands to touch her face but she adjusted, Avoiding my gaze too.
“Rose….I…I don’t understand. You aren’t telling me what’s actually going on with you. Why are you doing this to me?” I said almost in tears.
Suddenly, She came close to me and laid her hand on my cheeks, Tears rolled down from her eyes.
“I’m sorry…” She said in tears.
“But why?,” I asked.
What was so important was that she had to abandon me and her friends, Even her babies.
“I have to do this because it’s necessary for me. If I don’t go, Then I won’t be at ease with myself. Even if I don’t come back you have to move on with your life, Take care of the babies like a good father should, and always be happy,” She said in tears.
How does she want me to be happy when she won’t be close to me?

The whole war had exceeded my expectations. I didn’t want to blame Malon, but he was the one who brought the suggestion. However I agreed to it, so there wasn’t really a chance of passing the baton.
