Just within that short period of time, Raph and I were already used to each other. We began to have fun with each other just like real friends should. But to think that one day, The human wolf who I had been trying to hunt down all my life would be friends with me was still alarming. I never still anticipated seeing this day to come, But still I was glad things finally worke. out in my favor at last.
Well, I wouldn’t say things really worked out not until Rose has finally been rescued.
“I know it sounds weird of me but, I don’t know if I’m the only one feeling this way. Why I’m hesitant in trying to rescue Rose is because I think she’s okay wherever she is,” I said but the Raph was shocked.
“Wait what!? Why would you even think of saying such a thing in situations like this,” Raph said.
“It’s weird right? Feeling relieved that the person you loved who went missing would be fine,” I said.
“Well, That will only mean that you really trust her then. You trust that she’s strong enough to take care of herself,” He said but then I nodded.
“But as for me, if the one I love is in danger, Whether she’s strong or not she’ll always remain weak to me because I have to always be the one to protect her and I need to be with her no matter the circumstances that might come my way. That should also be part of the genuine love you have for her,” He said.
I completely agreed with him but all this wasn’t about the love but rather another different feeling entirely. It happened once and I think it’s happening again. It feels as though my dark powers were somehow connected to Rose’s dark powers. Whenever she’s hurt I can feel it, Whenever she’s happy and safe I can also feel it, Whenever she’s dying I can also feel it. It was like a distant connection between us and I still couldn’t figure out why it was that way.
“You’re right on that aspect Raph but.. This feeling is another different thing altogether. I don’t know how to explain it, it feels like Rose and I are…” I said but before I could speak Raph said.
“Connected?” He said.
I was surprised at how Raph figured it out in an instant.
“Wait… How did you know that? Tell me the truth Raph, Can you actually read minds using your dark powers?” I asked because I had to ask already.
It was becoming weirder by the day and he kept surprising me every time, I don’t know how he does it but trust me when I say it was really amazing.
He laughed at my sudden statement and replied.
“There’s no way … .To be honest I’m surprised myself that I actually figured everything out already. But the truth is the only people who read minds are those who have the brain’s dark powers. They are known as the brainstormers in their packs and I’m sure you guys have one too right?” He explained.
“Yeah we do but…scratch that part. How do you keep doing that? I asked, still surprised.
“I seriously don’t know either, When you just speak the words just come right out from my mouth. I guess I just understand what and where you’re always coming from, that’s all. Anyone would have thought the same thing.” He suggested.
But I’d disagree with him on this one Because there was no way that would even be possible on my
side.
“So…what do you think about what I just said then, Rose and I are connected. I feel every emotion she’s going through, And I mean, Every emotion.” I said while Raph wrapped his arms with his hands placed on his chin.

“As far as I know, It’s possible that two fated mates can be connected but when it involves being connected using their dark powers together. I think it’s like your two dark powers were combined together and probably you could feel anything she feels,” I said as I nodded in agreement.
“Yes I do, I could feel if she’s in pain and if she’s hurt or dying. If she’s happy and healthy or excited, Like literally every single emotion,” I explained.
“Okay so, How is she feeling right now?” I asked.
“Right now she’s feeling excited, Because I’m happy too. When she’s happy I’m happy, If she’s hurt then I’m hurt too,” I explained but then Raph hesitated for a while before he spoke.
“So… The question is does she feel the same way? The way you also feel hurt, happy, and sad if she is?” He said.
Speaking of that, I don’t think she has felt the way I feel too but who can tell? But I’m sure if she did she would have asked me about it. One thing with Rose was that she was always honest about her feelings and that was what made me fall harder for her.
“In this aspect, I don’t know if she feels the same way though,” I concluded.
“In that case then, We need to figure out by ourselves if we can rescue Rose then,” He said as he walked towards Joe and Ray who were with the general.
“Hey guys,” Raph said.
“What tool you guys so long, You’ve been talking like… forever,” Joe said as Raph smiled.
I slowly walked towards them apparently I could feel among.
“Nothing much, Just catching feelings as two good buddies,” Raph said as Joe got shocked and looked at me.
“Buddies??” Joe said while staring at him as I gave him the I don’t know sign.
“I wanted to tell you that we need to rescue Rose as soon as possible. we also need to confirm something important from her,” Raph said as Joe looked confused..
“The most important thing right now is Rose’s safety and nothing is more important than that, rather than what was important from you,” Joe said as Ray chuckled.
Joe was at it again, He’s just being as clingy as ever. I already got away from Raph and now I have to also face Joe too?
I had to ignore Joe’s feelings first until I had rescued Rose.
I turned to Ray and asked.
“Any progress, Did you ask General Ham what you’ve been wanting to ask,” I asked Ray as she nodded.
“I did ask him though, I asked him about Rose’s whereabouts and where the Elfina’s campsite was held. That could only trigger Rose’s whereabouts for now,” She said as I felt relieved, A least we found out where she might be.
“So? Where is the campsite?” I asked.
“He said it’s deep within the woods but for now he’ll have to go with you all for a better direction,” She explained. “Thank you Ray…For everything.” I appreciated as I bowed down to her. She got really shocked and a bit scared.

“Even though I brought this upon myself, I still had to involve you in everything that happened today. But yet you had nothing to do with any of this, You only came to do your duty as a maid but yet because of that those generals insulted you for that, And I’m sorry,” I said.
“Please it’s alright Alpha Kanen, I don’t really blame them for what they have to say about me. But I’m glad everything worked out in our favor, They deserved the punishment you put upon them,” Ray said but then Joe interrupted.
“Wait… Those bastards insulted you? And what reason did they have to do that?” Joe said as Ray smiled at him and said.
“It’s nothing much, They just criticized me for being just a maid and I promise that didn’t really get to me,” Ray explained.
“What!!!!?” Joe said furiously.
“But don’t worry, I promised nothing really happened after that, I just had to talk some sense into them right away. Please don’t bother yourself,” Ray said as she smiled at him and then he smiled back warmly.
Wait? Did I just see that Joe smiled at Ray like that? There was something fishy about these two, Something that didn’t seem right but it seemed they knew about it and also decided to keep it a secret from each other. Are they….
“Are you guys dating?” Raph asked as both Joe and Raph exclaimed and distanced themselves from each other.
Raph! Does he always have to ruin the moment, And how come he always knows what I’m thinking and it’s always honest about it?
If they were planning on keeping it a secret then we should just let them be, Why does he always have to ruin everything? Now I kind of felt bad for Joe, Because with what Raph just suggested, it’ll be weird to go close to Ray again.

From the way, Raph looked at him and smiled with that Joe’s captivating smile of his. If they weren’t dating then there was no way Joe could smile at a maid like that. Raph smiled while adjusting her hair and Joe looked around while clearing his throat.

I almost burst into laughter but then I had to control myself.
I looked at the general who lay on the ground and found out he was already unconscious. “What happened to the general already?” I asked, confused, then Raph cleared his throat.
“I did, I knocked him out,” He said with less care.
“But why? He was meant to follow us and lead us to where Rose has been kept,” I said.
“But I had no other choice but to knock him out using my dark powers, He had no right to see that lovely atmosphere,” Raph said as I chuckled.
“What atmosphere?” Ray said confused as Raph quickly turned his face to avoid her gaze.
“Oh..it’s nothing.” Kaph said.

couldn’t realize what was going on around her. It’ll be weird to tell her the truth and it’ll also be embarrassing for Joe too, So it’ll be better to keep it to myself and let Joe handle the rest.
“So what’s our actual strategy now, we don’t have any more time to waste here?” Joe said while interrupting the atmosphere.
“In my point of view, I think the Elfina’s pack has already canceled the war. The question now is how and why was it canceled.” Raph said.
“It’s either Rose did something to convince them or…” I said but then Raph interrupted.
“Or maybe they might have captured her,” He said as I nodded with a straight face. Things were getting a bit serious now, Hoping in my mind that nothing would happen to Rose.
Suddenly, General Ham slowly woke up and became conscious again. Joe quickly grabbed him and stood him up.
“Okay, We’re all set to go,” Joe said.
“Alpha Kanen, I trust that you’ll bring Luna Rose to us safe and sound. And please promise you all will be careful,” She said. “Yes, As long as it’s Rose, I never fail to come back without bringing her along, so don’t worry she’ll be here safe and sound
