What did I just hear? That they were going to put the blame on me? How did I end up being the center of their conversation? And why does it have to be me this time around? I was already facing a lot of things and now another problem just occurred to me. Does things have to get any worse?
“Wait what? You’ll blame the Luna of the Blood Moon pack? Isn’t that like..too risky to deal with? Because from the look of things, She’s quite smart,” The other guard said.
“Well… I don’t care if she’s a smart ass, All I know is that she’s our target to escape this and nothing can stop me,” The guard said arrogantly.
The other guard was right and quite reasonable, Does he really want to face me? With everything going on, if he gets in my way I’ll have to eliminate him for sure.
Not only did he poison the king but he wanted to frame me. He won’t get away with what he’s trying to do this time around and I’ll make sure of that.
“Alright if you say so then,” The other guard said.
It seems I was right about him, He was being forced to join forces with the arrogant guard so they would eliminate the king. But my question was why? What was their motive and what would they gain in killing him? Did they have a bad history with the king? Why so much hate on the king?
They claim to be loyal servants but end up betraying him the most.
“That Luna will pay dearly for humiliating me in such a manner. She tried to challenge me and no one has dared to challenge me before. She’ll be the first and the last person who would do such a thing to me,” The guard said and left, Leaving only the other guard who was standing there confused.
After a few moments, I ran out from my hiding spot and quietly went to the king’s tent where Elise was treating him.
The king was already lying on the bed as Elise attended to him. Behind her were two maids who assisted her.
After she checked up on him, He moved to where the maids were, With a sad look on her face.
“What’s the condition of the king Doctor?” One of the maids spoke out.
Tears rolled down Elise’s cheek, I felt so heartbroken to see her cry that way.
“I managed to take away some of the poison but then, He’s still unconscious. It seems that he’s in a coma now,” She said while in tears as the two maids came to console her as she burst into tears.
“Everything is going to be fine Elise, Don’t worry,” The other maid said while consoling her.
Those two maids were close to her like how Allison, Rebecca, and Ray were so close to me too. They were always there to console me when I was in tears and they were always there to protect me. I’ve really missed them and I hope they were all okay back in the palace.
“What are we going to do now? What about the upcoming war? Now the king is in a coma. The war won’t go on?” The maid said.
Suddenly some guards walked inside the tent. There were like 10 of them, Including that arrogant guard. What was he up to this time around? He poisoned the king and now he’s in the midst of people pretending to be part of the loyal servants to the king.
“Doctor Elise, please what is the condition of our king now,” One of the guards said as Elise slowly arose and spoke.
“I’m sorry to inform you all that the king is in a coma,” Elise said as the guards gasped and murdered at each other in shock.
“What about the upcoming war we were meant to have, Which should be today? How do we go along with it if the king himself is unconscious,” One of the guards said.
Elise stepped forward a little and spoke out. .
“Do not forget that I am standing before you. The war must still go on and I shall lead you towards the battle,” Elise said elegantly.
She was not speaking like a true queen. I was right about one thing, if the king were to leave, Elise would take over. Anyhow, This war must surely go on because Elise already suggested it at first. She really would go to any lengths just to make sure Alpha Kanen and I go through what she went through..
“But with all due respect Doctor Elise, We can’t win this battle with just us, We normally win battles with the king. And if the king doesn’t partake in this war we’ll lose for sure,” One of the guards said as others agreed with him too.
Looked at the arrogant guard and he just stood there with a smile. He must have thought that his plans were now going accordingly, it looks like he really wanted them to lose this war without the king. That might have been his plan from the start.

“So..What do you suggest we do then,” Elise said with a straight face.
“I suggest we call off the war,” The guard said as they all agreed on the matter but Elise was another case all over.
“I won’t accept it, I disagree. We must partake in this war no matter the obstacles that we face. My brother the king, Would have said the same thing and I won’t argue with that. We can’t just leave our enemies unpunished,” Elise suggested.
As everyone murmured.
“But first we need to capture the person who tried to poison the king,” Elise said.
That was when the arrogant guard stepped in.
“I have a suggestion about that matter Doctor Elise,” He said as he walked closer.
“I’m all ears, Tell me. Who did this?” Elise asked.
“It was one of the Blood Moon pack members and the one we all know as the Luna of their pack. I saw her taking out the poison to feed the king,” The guard said as everyone gasped.
Elise was also so shocked.
“I object!” I spoke out and slowly walked in.
