Rose’s pov
The hallways are strangely quiet as we go down the stairs.
I could see Aiden rolling his head from side to side no doubt in search of alpha Ryder
I was still wondering why he had ran out while fighting Aiden. Did he just run from him? Or perhaps was he going to arm himself up before coming back?
I was a bit worried for Aiden. I did not want him to get hurt while fighting alpha Ryder.
Just as we were reaching the end of the long steps, I caught the return of the scent. I think Aiden must have perceived it too because he halted all of a sudden and I stopped beside him.
Alpha Ryder was clearly getting closer. He was here in fact.
Aiden stretches his hand to the side to feel me and I draw nearer to him.
Just then, I hear a deep cackle from above us and we look up at the same time to the mezzanine high opposite us at the next floor.
We hear his laugh but not himself yet.
His laugh finally came to an end when he approaches the railing and places his hand on it.
He had not gone to get any weapons or armour. He was still in the fury sleeveless cloth that I had left him in. His biceps stood out as his grip on the railing tightened.
“And here you are again!” His voice echoes down to us and his eyes flick. I look at Aiden and his gaze is still strictly up on him. “Good job breaking into my palace like that? I really weren’t expecting you yet.”
“Why don’t you come down now so we can talk things out better? Alpha to alpha. Let’s get in over with! I am not under the influence of any of your weakening poisons now. So no fears. It would be a fair and square.”
Just as he says that we hear a noise form the mezzanine at the top left side of us and we look up to see Glen bursting out at the railing. He has panting lightly.
“What am I late for?” He demands with his gaze which had flown across the aerial space to meet alpha Ryder.
My eyes hang on as I stared at Glen. He was really alive. And he appeared just okay. He had his limbs intact and he appeared just as strong as ever.
I wasn’t the only one surprised by his appearance. Alpha Ryder also had his eyes dilated out as he gazed at him. I bet even he had not known that Glen was alive.
“Well what a pleasant surprise we have here? It is really good to see you again my friend, Glen.”
Cut the nice crap, Ryder! I finally found you and you know what that means.
He mutters and a calm laugh comes from Ryder as he turns back to Aiden and I.
“What do we have here? Aiden and Glen together? What did I miss?” His grip retunes to the railing.” So you two really agreed to come together just to meet me here?”

I hoped they didn’t listen to him. Alpha Ryder knows that he can’t beat the both of them so he is trying to convince them to separate.

Oh that’s very well. We will talk things out. But first…” My eye which have been on him the whole time, flick as his gaze leaves Aiden and comes down to me.” I will take back what I want. What I still want.
As his gaze remains on me, I feel a silent shiver and draw myself closer to Aiden so that half of my body was hiding behind him. Even though I

My face squeezes as he directs his speech to me. “You didn’t tell him? About how I had you under my fold? How you found your lust satisfied by me? How I brought you to your highest points of ecstacy in his absence till you screamed my name?”
“What? No!” I was confused. I cry out and turn to Aiden who was still staring up at alpha Ryder. “It’s not true.”
“How I made your initially protesting cries turn to silent moans of pleasure?
“He’s lying! “I tell Aiden again who still doesn’t look at me. I turn from him to alpha Ryder who still had the mischievous smirk in his face. What exactly was he playing at? “You’re lying!”
He starts laughing that I am totally convinced that he is crazy. I never hated him as much as I did now.

“He’s lying! “I cry out at the top of my voice again.

I feel my chest bloating and about to explode. when I turn back to Aiden he had slightly dropped his head and shut his eyes. He wasn’t buying any of alpha Ryder’s shit was he?
I knew Aiden could not read his mind to know if he was lying because he is also an alpha but he needed to see beyond his deceitful grins and cackles.

Maybe after the battle? Aiden would watch us himself. Rose, like I used to say.”
“Okay! “We hear Glen’s sigh from where he stood and I turn to him. “This is all getting very boring, honestly. I have seen enough of the talks. I don’t have all day to spend here! And for the record, Ryder, you need to try harder. You’re charging Aiden up real good with your confessions. He needs more of it so he can beat you up really good.”
This idiot. I cursed while gleaning up at Glen. He wasn’t even concerned about what Ryder said being true or false. He was just interested at how charged up it would make his brother.
“Patience!” I finally heard Aiden’s voice and my heart was still beating fast in worry.
Just as Alpha Ryder remained up there enjoying his games, the back door in front of which Aiden and I stood opens quickly and a batch of alpha Ryder’s men rush out.
At that same moment, Ryder jumps down from where he stood landing in front of us.
I hear Glen cursing because of the new addition. He wasn’t pleased.
