Chapter 51
Alpha Aiden’s pov
The vaulted designs across the hall’s ceiling appeared smaller than they had earlier as I opened my eyes with a blurred
vision.
I squeez my eyes and I hear echoes of voices away from me.
I heard Glen’s voice first. All I could pick from his words was him asking Ryder to surrender and then telling him to ask his men to put down their weapons.
After this I heard alpha Ryder’s but I wasn’t exactly sure if what he had said.
I squeezed my eyes again and groaned. As I turned on my side, I feel the pain from my wound as I pressed my arm against the floor in attempt to get up.
I feel a cornered pain in my head as I sat up slowly and brushed my forehead. When my hand touches the side of my head, I feel the blood oozing from the side, totally ignoring the tears all over my chest.
As soon as sat up, my awareness clicked back to Rose who was still probably behind me.
I gasped as I turned my head to see her, still in the same position.
Perhaps things would have gone a bit uglier if Glen had not shown up at that perfect time.
I attempted to draw closer to Rose forgetting the fact that the archers might shoot me or worst still, shoot her.
Kneeling down and facing Rose, my eyes hover over all of her and when I gazed up, I was surprised to see that the archers had now pulled down their bows from us.
First I deepened my hand under her hair and brushed it up her face. Parting them by the side, her face now came into clear view.
I grabbed her chin and raised her face up. ” Rose.”
I called even though I saw that her eyes were shut.
“are you okay?
I held her face in both of my hands and saw the stains on her face. Aside the dried tears in her cheeks, there was blood in one side and dirt also, forming and ugly pattern at one side of her face. It must have been through the fight. She and been eager to join the fight so much that she got drained of all the energy she had regained. I tapped on her face but there was no response yet.

I caught a slight movement from her eyelashes but she still couldn’t open her eyes fully
“… Aiden…” She whispers but I could barely hear her voice. She was so beat up and weak.
I gently release her face and her head drops back to hang. I reached for the rope tying her hand and attempted unknotting it but that would clearly be a waste of our time and it would take a lot of effort ot unknot.
That was when I began striking my sharp claws over the end of the rope.
Just after I gave it two strikes, I caught a movement up the mezzanine and when I looked up, I only hear the shot of am arrow and I see it digging down to the floor just beside my feet. If truly, they don’t miss their shot then that meant it was a

I turn away from it and focus on cutting the rope which had already started tearing apart.
I needed to use my full senses now. I roar out to the archers and shift into my wolf. I bark fiercely and angrily.
I now resume clawing the rope. I sense the arrows that are flying towards me and I hit the first arrow off and then another. Ignoring the arrows for a while and giving the rope two more hits, it ripped apart, releasing one of Rose’s hand which made. her shoulder drop down entirely.
There was still one more rope holding her hand to the spot but at that angle, it would be much harder for them to shoot her. I grab her legs and draw her deeper beneath the staircase so that only her hand which was still held by the rope remained easily visible.
I step back and roar aloud at the archers before jumping up the stairs through the side. Getting rid of them would be the next necessary thing to do now.

I grunted deeply as I struggled to get the arrows out.
The wolf comes back up on me snatching me from behind before I take him down in a final snap.
When I faced the next one which could not reach his arrow. I saw the fear behind his masked face. Clearly he had never attempted to be in a fight with an alpha before and knew what it could cost him but he came at me anyway and in a quick instant, he was sent by me down the railing till his head smashed against the floor.
I shifted back and got the arrows out of my body in the process even though the first one was still stuck in my remained.

I stared over and saw at the far distant end of the room where Glen and Ryder were facing each other.

I jumped down the railing and saw Rose still lying down with one of her hand hanging.
She seemed fine so I turned to Ryder and Glen as my next place of attention.
But the very moment I started running to them, I caught a strange movement from Ryder and the next thing I saw was the girl falling to the floor. My eyes went wide open at the image of that.

That’s when I saw her clearly I recognized her and couldn’t imagine how she got to this mess.
I had to halt and watch as Glen let out a cry and went to catch her before she gut to the floor fully.
Shit! Was all I could tell in my head as I watched Glen holding the girl in her arms, totally ignoring Ryder who was coming at
me with the knife still in his hand.
I wasn’t fast enough. If only I could have gotten to them faster.
My teeth grinded against the other as I watched with fully clenched fists as Ryder made for me.
He was still desperately trying to kill me after he just did that to the poor girl.
He had killed enough! My frown thickened and my teeth ground.

I threw my head back to dodge the bloody knife that was sweeping out for my face.
I stepped back and as his arms hung up in the air, I aimed for his a chest which I lined continuously with strikes of my claws until his body was beginning to look exactly like what mine was
Most of what t I heard from him now was rough grunts as I got a hold of the knife from him and aimed for him neck. He blocks his neck with the back of his palm so that I had the knife driven through his hand.
He met our a loud groan and staggered back.
From his movements, it was obvious that he had used up most of his energy fighting Glen and I and his movements weren’t as fast and steady as it should be.

As I exclaimed, he spread his claws and aimed for me and I knocked him back with a kick.
As he staggers back, I wait for him to get back to me only to find a furry arm rounding up his neck from behind him.
Ryder struggled to hold Glen’s hand which was choking him from behind.
Ryder was already weak obviously as his strikes miss Glen until he is fallen to the floor.
Glen stands over him and lets out a deep bark, his eyes glowing wildly before his arms struck down against Ryder’s neck.
Striking and striking and striking until his entire hands become covered in Ryder’s blood. I allowed Glen have him. I wanted to end Ryder myself but killing Ryder would come with a reward for him
As I saw Glen unleash his full monsterous side out of him, he appeared like an entirely different person. His true self.
I had always known that he was controlling a greater deal of himself within him and as he tore Ryder’s throat wide open until he could not breath any more, I got the urge to tell him to but what was the use? Aside the fact that Ryder was already dead, if Glen didn’t stop, he could just get out of control and unleash the part of him he had been fighting so much to get away from.
I heard a slight sound from Rose like a whimper and I looked back to see that she had now slightly rosen up to her knees. While her other hand still remained hanging by the rope, she had her free hand rubbing her forehead in distress.
Thad the urge to go to her but seeing Glen tearing himself up now, I needed to call him to step back now. I tuned back to face him and his hands were still pummelling Ryder’s neck.

Glen!” I yelled again and maybe he finally beard me as he finally stopped.
When he did, he rises up fully to me and he was still panting with hardened energy.
I stopped to look at the blood that was slowly oozing from both of his nostrils and aside that, I could see the red glow in his eyes as he lowered them.
