Chapter 62
RECAP.
“Normally, if I were to wake up, open my eyes, and see an angry man staring me down from a bedroom doorway, I might scream. I might throw things. I might run to the bathroom and lock myself inside.
I don’t do any of these things, though.
because that person at the door was my mate and I was staring him in the eyes after he has just caught me in bed with another man….”

I groan weakly as a the pain in the nape of my neck intensified. I try to peel my eyes open but they fall back shut again. My head felt heavy and my eyes soar.
I felt a strange silk underneath my bare skin and I quickly opened my eyes properly and looked down on myself. My eyes instantly grows wide as I found my body completely naked safe for a very filmsy duvet covering my body. And I’m laid back on a large kind sized bed.
I gasp loudly and quickly sat up on the bed, grabbing as much of the bed sheets as possible over my bare chest.
Where am I? I definitely do not remember being in this room.
I feel something in my brain, trying to shut me down, a strong sleep wave trying to take control over me. But I fight it back as the whole situation in front of me felt too confusing.
How did my clothes leave my body and why am I on this bed?
I look forward to find strange walls staring back at me. The room is still very dimly lit so I couldn’t make out anything. Plus my head is currently spinning so there was no way I could recognize anything much.
As my eyes trailed the fine lines of the wall to the right side, my eyes instantly picks up another presence right next to me- there’s a man who is laid right next to me, his face down on the bed.
Dread and anxiety chilled my spine as I watched his back.
His body is naked I could tell from all his bare back gaping back at me even though his lower body is covered with the bed spread.
“Wha…..” I mutter shockingly.
Who is this man? And why is he laying down next to me naked? Why am I naked too? What the hell happened?
Confused and enraged, I shut my eyes close and held my head, attempting to remember where this all began, how I ended up here with a strange man naked right next to me.
I felt like there was something in my memory that was teasing me. It’s still there but I can’t reach to it and grasp it. It was the answer to this strange event but it’s not letting me reach it.
Suddenly, the door swings open and my husband and Beta of the Crescent pack stormed in.
Danien storms in, anger written all over his face at the situation in front of him, the situation I found myself in.
I stare back, because I’m confused.
I look at the man laid next to me and none of this made any sense. I had a foggy memory of what ever happened and it was

My mate stood there, frozen on spot, his eyes burning flames as they watched me. Damien’s cold eyes threw daggers at me, ironically burning me ten feets underground.
A moment I thought was minutes was merely seconds as he starts towards me, his steps reverberating through the entire
room.
“What in the world is going on here Olivia?!” He sneers through gritted teeth, his eyes seemingly burning through my skin. I have never felt so scared and little before him before.
Damien was supposed to be my companion, my protector. My mate. But right now he was nothing but it. He was some monster that I didn’t know of. I couldn’t recognize him within all that anger.
I try to sit up, pulling the bed spread up to cover my naked chest.
“Damien…. I don’t understand what’s going on….. I stammer my voice trembling and tinning from all the fears coursing through my entire body.
“Shut your dirty mouth you slut!” He roars at me as he stops right next to me.
I try to scoot away because from his body language it looked like he would hit me if he reached me.
And just as I’d feared, his hand grabs my skinny arm, squashing my delicate skin as he pulled me roughly off the bed.
yelp as pain shot through my arm. He wriggles and tosses me to the side.
“You’re hurting me Damien!” I cry in pain, unable to reach his hand to try to fight him as my other free arm is securing the bed spread around my chest.
“You dirty slut! I trusted you and this is how you betray me?!” Michael continues to scream in my face.
“I didn’t do anything! I don’t know what happened here!” I cry defensively.
“What kind of a lie is that after I just caught you naked in bed with another man? You would admit it if you even have any shame left!”
Beknowest to me, the man who was laid down on this bed with me scurried out of the room unnoticed, leaving me to to this insanely vicious man.
I still couldn’t remember what happened between I and that man. There has to be a mistake somewhere
“Let go of me! You do not treat your Alpha like this!” I scream, trying to remind him of who I was.
I am and still his Alpha. He dares not treat me like this.
He stops pushing me about only to inch his face closer to mine and spat disgustedly at my face “Alpha?” He scoffs “wait till our people hear what you’ve done. Let’s see if they’ll still take you as their Alpha.”

“Stop this right now!” I cried desperately beside him as he drags me through the large pack house and towards the front of the front balcony.

Everyone, every pack member that has once bowed to me stood by and watched as he dragged me away, none trying to
stop him.
Maybe they didn’t wanna interfere.
But everything soon dawned to me as we approached the front of the pack house.
There’s a crowd gathered at the front. My heart threatened to collapse as it drummed painfully inside my rib cage.
The morning sun blinds my eyes as he pulls me to the stand, and I inched to shield my eyes from it.
Soft mumurs rose from the crowd at the sight of me.
“Everyone!” Damien’s voice is deep and intimidating, none like anything I’ve heard before.
“As I have told you,” he adds, pushing me forward to face the crowd below “your so called Alpha has been caught in bed with another man!”
I heard gasps from everyone, followed by loud mumurs.
“That is a lie…..” I muttered softly, even though I wished I had screamed that. I wanted to scream but I found my voice broken. Tears wells up in my eyes.
“Now! The man she was sleeping with ran out of the room as soon as I caught them!” He continued as the crowd quieted down “this woman is not fit to be your leader!”
“No!” “She’s a disgrace!” “Kill her!” The crowd vents.
“Calm down everyone!” Damien continues “there is only one punishment for a woman as shameless as this! She will be executed! But first, she will be shamed in the council!”
My heart seemed to stop as the crowd cheered on. I was lost and I felt lightheaded. How did my night turn out to this in a span of few hours?
I am to be executed for a crime I didn’t commit? By my own people?
