Chapter 21
“What did we do to your dog? Can’t you see what your dog did to Yolanda?” Yetta’s voice rose dramatically, disbelief written all over her face.
After a pause, she continued, stoking the issue. “I told you this dog shouldn’t have come here since Yolanda is allergic to dog hair. You should have found someone to take care of it.
“Yolanda is always kind and never wanted to make things difficult for you. Hut look at this mess! Do you even realize Yolanda has a crucial interview at the Lewis Group tomorrow? This is a huge deal for her?”
Lillian shot her a dismissive look, completely ignoring her. She then turned to the servant standing by the sofa, her gaze icy and unfeeling. “Did you not hear me? What did you do to my dog?”
Aileen, the servant, was taken aback, confused. “Ms. Lillian Wilson, I don’t understand.”
Suddenly, General, who had been quiet, barked excitedly at Aileen. Startled, she stepped back, frightened
Yetta chimed in, “Stop trying to shift the blame. Your dog is perfectly fine, and it’s Yolanda who has the issue.”
Lillian shot her a warning glance. “You’d better keep your mouth shut
“Lillian, be respectful!” Bradley scolded.
“You shut up too, Lillian snapped, without even looking his way
“You!” Bradley fumed. He had never been talked to like that before, especially not by his daughter in front of a crowd. He was so angry he could hardly think
Yetta exclaimed, “This is outrageous!”
Lillian turned back to Aileen, pulling out her phone. At 5 PM, my dog was sleeping in my room, and then you came in and forced it out.
She pulled up the security footage and showed the screen to Aileen. “You then chased it into Yolanda’s room. You tried to harm Yolanda for money, and the evidence is right here. Should discuss this at the police station or handle it here?”
“Security footage? Yetta stepped forward, surprised. The clips of Lillian’s room and the doorway played on screen. confirming everything Lillian had said.
When Lillian returned to the Wilson residence, she had set up some mini cameras. She had sensed something was off with General, so she checked the video.
Yetta couldn’t help but ask, “When did you set up this surveillance?
Aileen finally grasped the situation when she saw the footage. Confused and panicking, she explained, “You misunderstood. Ms. Lillian Wilson.
“I thought your dog looked bored inside, so I wanted to take it for a walk in the backyard. It usually enjoys playing out there. I didn’t expect it to run off and end up in Ms. Yolanda Wilson’s room.
I was worried she would blame me, so I didn’t dare admit it was my fault the dog got into her room. I really didn’t mean Please, don’t accuse me of that.”
Aileen’s eyes were red, almost in sears. Yetta seemed clueless, stepping in. “Aileen was just trying to help by walking the dog. Who knows your dog is so unruly?”
Lillian smiled. “So the dog panicked and ran right into the room of Yolanda, who is allergic to dog fur?”

“…” Aileen burst into tears don’t even know why it ran straight into Ms. Yolanda Wilson’s room. I really didn’t mean for that to happen.”
“Aileen has been working for us for years. I know her character well, and saying she did this on purpose is ridiculous
“Besides, let’s not get sidetracked. Even if Aileen didn’t let it in, it was bound to happen that Yolanda would have an allergic reaction. I think you’re the one trying to catise trouble.” Yetta sald, trying to steer the conversation back.
Lillian dropped a bombshell. “You arranged for Aileen to do this
Yetta glared at her. What are you talking about? Why would I do that?”
Lillian turned back to Aileen. “Hand it over
“W–What?” Aileen looked confused.
Lillian’s expression was flat. “Don’t make me say it again.”
Aileen met Lillian’s icy stare, feeling torn and fearful. She quickly turned to Bradley and Yetta for help. “I really didn’t mean to. Please, forgive me this time.”
Till
“I’ll give your 6 thousand. Search her” Lillian nodded toward a sturdier servant nearby.
The servant’s eyes lit up, and he quickly moved toward Aileen
Aileen immediately stopped protesting and backed away in parte. “Why are you searching for me? You can’t do that. This is illegal.”
Just as Bradley was about to intervene, the restrained Aileen, feeling desperate, confessed, “I took it. I did it myself.” With tears in her eyes, she pulled out a thumb–sized golden bell from her clothes.
General barked with excitement upon seeing his golden bell. Everyone finally understood what Lillian meant about Aileen trying to harm Yolanda for money.
Bradley couldn’t believe Yolanda ended up in this mess just because of a servant’s greed. “Call the police!” he instructed the butler firmly.
Aileen was terrified and cried, “I was wrong. Please let me go this time.” She ran to Lillian, begging. “I was blinded by greed. Please have mercy-
Without a word, Lillian slapped Aileen, cutting her off. Aileen cried out and collapsed to the ground, clutching her face. unable to stand.
Just from the sound, everyone could tell how hard that slap was the servants present felt a chill run down their spines, all of them startled and anxious
Bradley was taken aback by Lillian’s swift and decisive action, and Yetta shared his astonishment,
Feeling frustrated, Bradley said, “Take Aileen away and wait for the police.”
Quickly, Aileen was led away, and the hall fell silent
At that moment, Yolanda, who had been quietly standing behind Bradley, softly called out, “Dad…”
This snapped Bradley back to reality. He realized that they had fully sorted things out yet. Yolanda had always been good and never caused him any trouble. He treated her like his own daughter. As for Lillian.
Deep down, he favored Yolanda, the lucky one, more. Now, with Yolanda being allergic to Lillian’s dog, it was clear that Lillian was in the wrong

“You saw it too–Yolanda is–allergic to dog fur. We can’t keep the dog in the house anymore,” Bradley said, trying to be fair since it wasn’t entirely Lillian’s fault.
After thinking it over, he suggested. “How about I set up a kennel in the backyard and hire someone to take care of it?”
Lillian shot back, “Why not just have her move out? Isn’t that the same thing
Bradley’s face darkened instantly.
Yetta jumped in again, “Do you even hear yourself? Are you saying Yolanda is worth less than your dog? Even if she’s not
your
real sister, you can’t treat her like this.”
“My dog lives with me, and if anyone dares to touch him again, they’ll face more than just a call to the police, Lillian said. her voice icy.
She then turned to Bradley, her fragile face revealing a touch of illness, but she stayed calm as ever. “If you’ve got the guts go ahead and kick me out.”
