The four people looked at me in disbelief.
Leila panicked and huffed while pointing at me, “Bullshit! Do you have evidence? You don’t look like you fell down the stairs.”
I laughed. “How do you know where I fell? I didn’t say that. And I have camera footage.”
Then, I took out my phone and played a video for the police.
The house had two surveillance cameras on the first floor.
Gatlin was too old to know the stuff. Leila often went out for a drink and didn’t care about it.
After the cameras were installed, I synced the video up to th cloud.
So what I was playing was the footage of Leila pushing me downstairs.
I hadn’t been in a hurry to pursue it.
But given what they were doing today, I changed my mind.
Leila’s face paled when she saw the footage.
Kara huffed, “Grace, are you insane? She’s your sister! How could you call the police?”
Antonio said with a frown, “Not to mention that she’s

pregnant. You shouldn’t have done that to her even though you’re mad at me for leaving you!”
Gatlin stared at me, like he was trying to see through me.
I responded with indifference, “Why can’t I call the police? I got badly injured that day. If you had shown concern, I might not have done this.”
“You disgust me! You’re an awful sister!” Kara rushed over to scratch my face.
I shifted away, and she didn’t give up. Accidentally, I tripped her up.
I held out my hands. “I didn’t do anything. She did it to herself.”
Right then, Gatlin asked hesitantly, “Grace…you know what happened to your birth mom, don’t you?”
I ignored him because I could beat him if I talked about it wi him.
Leila was arrested, and we were also taken away for the investigation.
Although I had almost recovered, the hospital had my treatment records as evidence. Leila could be sentenced to at least 3 years in prison unless I submitted a letter of understanding.
She would be detained now, even though she was pregnant.
Before we got out of the police station, Kara knelt. “Gracie, please sign the letter of understanding. Your sister is
pregnant!”

Gatlin darted a glare at me. “Grace, how could you let your mom kneel in front of you? If you still consider us as family, sign the letter!”
I moved backward to be away from Kara and huffed, “You’re not my mom. You’re a home–wrecker!”
Then, I sneered at them. “Rest assured. I won’t sign it no
matter what. And Leila is not my sister. I’m cutting ties with you.”
