Gatlin and Kara froze.
I was about to leave when Antonio stretched his hand out to
block my way.
His eyes were bloodshot. “Grace…please let Leila off for my sake. Or you’ll ruin her life.”
If it were before, I would feel pity for him and agree.
But now, all I felt for him was hatred.
I pushed him away and responded in a flat tone, “Why would I do that for you? You cheated, lied to me, and threw a vase at me. You should feel lucky I didn’t report what you did to the police!”
