CARINA
“Oh, you’ve chosen such a great dress!” the shop owner exclaimed as she took it off the rack.
Carter, Alex, and Luna Selene stopped what they were doing to look at the dress I had picked.
They were stunned momentarily.
“Why didn’t I see that?” Luna Selene muttered.
“That looks…perfect,” Alex said with a small smile.
“Honestly, Rina would look good in anything,” Carter added, placing the revealing dress back on the rack.
“I must admit,” Luna Selene said, placing her hand under her chin. “That is better than everything I’ve picked out. Let’s try that one first.”
“Perfect,” the shop owner said. “This is the only one of its kind. I stitched this myself when I was still a new designer. However, none of the new brides gravitate to it because of its simplicity. However, I must say–this is an elegant design.”
I looked at the gown and smiled. It was true that it looked simple. However, it was filled with intricacies that could only be seen once worn. The straps were thin, nearly invisible. The top part was hemmed with gems, small ones that appeared like diamonds. They cascaded down to the skirt, but not fully.
It wasn’t a full corset, but it was tight enough to hug the body. Along with that, the skirt flowed out really well, petticoat. All in all, it looked like something an angel would wear on their first day in heaven.
“I’ll accompany you inside the dressing room,” the shop owner said. “Come on.”
I smiled and followed after her.
“We’ll be waiting,” Luna Selene whispered, giving me a thumbs up.
I entered the dressing room, where the shop owner wasted no time.
“Now, take off your clothes,” she bluntly said.

I was surprised by the quickness of her words, but I did as she said. She stopped for a while, just observing my body before. nodding in what seemed to be acknowledgment.
“Really good body,” she said. “Perky boobs and butt. Smooth skin. Not too voluptuous, but still nice to hold onto.”
My eyes widened. “I’m sorry?”
“What, dear?” she asked. “This is all part of the job. Your body is really nice, and I believe it will fit this dress really well. I’m surprised, honestly. All you wear are lousy blouses, so we don’t even see your nice, hourglass figure.”
“Umm,” I muttered.
I didn’t know what to say. Should I take that as an insult or a compliment?
“Well, at least now I know that Alpha Falco didn’t choose you for nothing,” she said as she helped me with the dress.
“Thank you?” I said in an unsure tone.
“Take it as a compliment,” she said. “I’ve been a part of the Onyxfur pack for a long time, so I know who you are. Frankly, I

My eyebrows raised in pleasant surprise. Nobody has ever noticed such a thing from Natalia. She was perfect on the outside. In our house, she was deemed a princess, and she acted like one. However, nobody quite knew about that except for me…
…and this shop owner, apparently.
“Well, I do think she’s pretty because she takes care of herself well. Her fashion sense is pretty good, too. However, with the right styling and right confidence, I believe that you,” she tightened the dress, “my dear, will be the prettier twin.”
And with that, she directed me to face the mirror.
The moment I saw my figure, my breath got caught in the back of my throat.
Even the shop owner gasped as she looked at my reflection.
“I am mistaken,” she muttered. “You look infinitely better than your twin. She has been wearing the most extravagant gowns, and yet she has never looked like this.”
“I…have never looked like this,” I muttered.
She smirked and fixed my hair a bit. “And this is without professional hair or makeup. Imagine what would happen on your wedding day.”
I was still caught up with how I looked. I knew it was ridiculous in movies how the girl removes her glasses and puts on some decent clothes, and she’s suddenly the hottest person in the entire world. However, it could actually be real.
Or maybe I’ve just never looked at myself this way.
“You are the perfect muse for this dress,” she muttered. “Shall we show them?”
I barely registered her words and only snapped back to reality when she opened the curtains.
Carter and Alex were bickering while Luna Selene was chuckling while watching them. However, they came to a halt as soon as I faced them.
Luna Selene let out a loud gasp, staring at me with bright, wide eyes.
“Oh goodness,” she muttered. “You look so beautiful. The most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen.”
I smiled softly and looked down at the ground.
Alex shook her head before standing. She started clapping out loud, making my cheeks redden.
“Amazing,” she said. “Falco is going to fall head over heels.”
Meanwhile, Carter was silent. He was just staring at me with an agape mouth, struggling to find the right words to say. I chuckled at how some drool fell on his chin. However, he quickly wiped it away and smiled at me.
Luna Selene went to where I was and placed her hands on my cheeks.
“You are so beautiful,” she muttered. I smiled at her, still feeling shy. “I don’t even know what my son saw in Natalia when were this pretty.”
I pursed my lips to stop myself from laughing. She seemed like she was dead serious.
“If I were a man, I would have fallen in love,” Alex said, also joining in.
Carter clicked his tongue. “You’re already a man,” he muttered.

Alex rolled her eyes and was about to retort when Carter suddenly spoke.
“Rina,” he said, sounding serious.
“You’re the prettiest person I’ve ever seen.”
